A new museum the CIAC http://www.ciacmuseum.com/ for the contemporary art has risen at the end of November 2009 in Foligno a city of Umbria in the province of Perugia (Italy). The architecture of the Center is constituted by a parallelepiped covered in steel type "corten" that confers to the volumes the classical rust color of the material. Without windows, it develops on three floors and it takes light from a skylight central place on pillars that articulate the volume of the insides. The scheme is characterized for its simplicity and rigor. The protagonists are the light and the space. The building places among the medieval apse of the S. Francesco Church and the Art Nouveau constructions of Via Del Campanile (42°57'12.33"N - 12°42'16.37"E), determining, in full historical center, a harmonic impact that unites the ancient one to the new one with stimulating contrast.

Un nuovo museo il CIAC http://www.ciacmuseum.com/ per l'arte contemporanea è sorto alla fine di novembre 2009 nella città umbra di Foligno in provincia di Perugia. [...] L'architettura museale del Centro nasce da un'idea di Alviani in collaborazione con l'architetto Zamatti ed è stata successivamente realizzata dall'architetto Giancarlo Partenzi. L'architettura del centro è costituita da un parallelepipedo rivestito in acciaio "corten" che conferisce ai volumi esterni il classico colore ruggine del materiale. Privo di finestrature, si sviluppa su tre piani e prende luce da un lucernaio centrale posto su pilastri che scandiscono la volumetria degli interni. Lo schema si caratterizza per la sua semplicità e rigore. I protagonisti sono la luce e lo spazio, l'edificio si colloca tra l'abside medioevale della chiesa di S. Francesco e le costruzioni liberty di Via del Campanile (42°57'12.33"N - 12°42'16.37"E), determinando, in pieno centro storico, un impatto armonico che unisce l'antico al nuovo con contrasto stimolante [...]
